In 2024, Hard Grinderz Kings Growing Kings Mentoring provided guidance and support to 120 mentees from various schools and two college students through our mentoring program, creating meaningful community connections and empowering youth.

Our data highlights the diverse backgrounds and challenges our mentees face:

• 70% come from single-parent households.
• 75% have utilized free or reduced-price lunch programs, reflecting economic hardship.
• 66% identify as Black or African American, demonstrating our commitment to empowering underrepresented communities.

Our mentoring program assesses key developmental areas to target support where it’s most needed:

• Self-Reliance: 50% of mentees noted challenges with solving problems independently, underscoring the importance of building resilience.
• Relational Motivation: 47% reported feeling disconnected from their impact on others, pointing to the need for fostering accountability and strong, supportive relationships.
• Attention Span: 77% reported they could focus on activities for 20 to 40 minutes, providing insights into engagement levels and areas for growth.

These findings guide our mission, showing us how best to support our youth and how our program is poised to
create a lasting, positive impact on their lives and within our community.
